Floral Design Course

Our instructors have the experience of both managing a floral shop and in teaching floral design.

Wedding designs will include the use of fresh flowers in the most popular styles of bouquets and corsages.

Floral tributes for funerals include casket sprays, easel sprays and set pieces including hearts, crosses and wreaths.

Floral designing is taught as a step-by-step procedure to include color harmony, flower varieties and selection of containers and other products available to the florist. Students will tour a wholesale company to learn first hand the prepara-tion of flowers before they are purchased. Instruction in purchasing flowers and pricing arrangements will be given.

Classes will be limited to 8 students, allowing the instructor to give personal attention needed for skill development.Upon completion of the 120 hour course, students receive a certificate from Mr. K's Floral Design School of Denver.

Units of Study		Clock Hours

Wedding Design		25 Hrs.
	Will include the use of fresh flowersin the most popular styles of bouquetsand corsages. Procedures in order taking and settingup at church or institution. Proper placement of fresh flowers forwedding cake decoration.

Funeral		25 Hrs.
	Floral tributes for funerals include casket sprays and set pieces including hearts, crosses and wreaths.

Floral Design		50 Hrs.
	Includes color harmony, flower varieties, selection of containers and other products available to the florist.Classes will include silk flower design and how to create a terrarium.

Advanced Floral Design		20 Hrs.

Total		120 Hrs.
